Ruby von Riegen is a beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd on the smaller side. Ruby has the gorgeous looks, intelligence and temperament that are textbook German Shepherd. She walks wonderfully on leash although, being new to Westside, she is still a little anxious and wondering when she gets to go home. She seems more comfortable halfway through the walk and starts leaning against her handler. Ruby also walks great next to other dogs and knows basic commands such as “yes” and “sit.” This intelligent beauty can learn anything that is asked of her and will do anything to please her handler. Once Ruby gets comfortable, she turns into quite the lovebug, snuggling up against you and asking for belly rubs. She enters her playgroup slowly and meets everyone well, avoiding the pushy dogs by turning her back to them. Sweet Ruby prefers to stay by her human’s side and watch the other dogs rough-house – this pretty lady has no intention of messing up her fur! Ruby is not a fan of cats and hopes that her new home is cat-free. While there is a line around the block to adopt this rare gem, Ruby is looking for an experienced shepherd owner who can show her that her sole focus does not need to revolve around protecting the family she loves so much.
